So... Lindsay Lohan Is Writing A Book

by Emma Oulton

It seems like just yesterday that Lindsay Lohan was getting her ears pierced at summer camp — but now the actress is gearing up to turn 30 and share her words of wisdom with those who need it. Yep, Lindsay Lohan is writing a book. This is going to be a treat.

It's no secret that Lindsay Lohan has had a pretty turbulent time. Although her career started off strong with The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and, of course, her iconic role as Cady in Mean Girls , it hasn't always remained that stable. Rumors of her unprofessional behavior on set tarred her reputation and lost her a few film roles; she was hospitalized at one point for exhaustion and dehydration; she was arrested more than once for driving under the influence. Being so famous from such a young age must have been seriously tough on her — so it's great to see that in recent months Lindsay Lohan has been doing so much better.

I'd love to know how she got the strength to push on through such a hard time of her life — and now that's going to become a reality. Details of Lindsay Lohan's book are currently scarce, but it seems likely it will be some kind of nonfiction memoir. Lohan told Vanity Fair that it will contain her "personal experiences [on] how to overcome obstacles" and that she hopes her words "will connect with those who need some guidance."

And Lohan is no stranger to sharing advice. On the eve of the U.K. Brexit vote, Lohan's tweets about the referendum went viral before being deleted. Lohan urged the U.K. to remain in the E.U. — some advice which they definitely should have followed. For me, that seals the deal: I'm absolutely going to be reading Lindsay Lohan's memoir. Because next time Lindsay Lohan has some advice to give, I'm going to follow it.
