Jaclyn Hill Killed The Highlighter Challenge

by Kali Borovic

The "Queen of Highlight" has spoken. As if she hasn't already prove that she's fabulous with the glow, Jaclyn Hill's full-face highlight challenge was actually pretty wearable. While some people's unconventional videos turn out looking like they just showered in liquid metal, the Champagne Pop creator showed the world how it's done. Even if you're not into rubbing the shine all over your face, you can still learn a few things from the tutorial.

In case you're not familiar with the newest YouTube challenge, the popular tag dares people to do their makeup using nothing but highlighters. The viral videos all started with the vlogger Mariya, who thought up the challenge. Since then, people have been hopping on the 'Tube to create their own over-glowed look. Hill is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, and she absolutely killed it.

The creator of the infamous Champagne Pop used all her favorite highlights to douse her face in shimmery goodness. With the exception of a brow pencil and nude lipstick, Hill uses eight different glow products to make for one shiny, but wearable look. Hill bakes with Becca Pearl and even bronzes with an Anastasia Glow Kit. I'm not sure how she did it, but she completely pulled it off.

From first glance at the photo, you might think that it's just another one of her glowing makeup looks. Nope, that's all glow! Here's the tutorial if you're looking to recreate the look.

You might not be daring enough to wear the exact makeup, but she did show some smart ways to sneak a bit more glow into your routine. Here are some products that will instantly make you almost as glowy as Hill.

1. Custom Cover Drop

Hill uses these drops as a base, but they'd add the same gorgeous highlight mixed into your normal foundation.

2. Illuminating Moisturizer

Perfect for all skin types, this moisturizer makes it look like your face just drank a gallon of water.

These four highlights will give you the best shine, whether you're using them as a bronzer like Hill or just for some cheekbone shine.

4. Liquid Highlight

Not only does this look fabulous as a cheek highlight, but you could easily mix this is with your foundation as well.

5. Loose Pigment Highlight

This is probably the most versatile loose glow powder ever. It's designed to be used on your face, eyes, and even lips.

6. Tinted Moisturizer

If a natural glow is more your type, then opt for a tinted moisturizer instead.

Hill uses her limited edition Becca highlight as setting powder for the sparkly look, but it looks just as good on the cheeks.
