These Villains Would Make One Gruesome Twosome

by Celia Darrough

There's always the contestant on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette who gets the villain edit. On JoJo Fletcher's season, it was Chad Johnson, the lunch-meat-eating meathead who also ate raw sweet potatoes, worked out like it was his job, and was generally a bit of an ass. But as much as we pretend otherwise, The Bachelorette isn't real life, and Johnson might not really be a true villain. Or is he? Because there is one villain in real life that would get along with Chad Johnson, and that's Donald Trump.

As we saw on the "Men Tell All" episode, Johnson has no remorse for any of his actions on The Bachelorette. In fact, he doubled down on his rhetoric before his newest performance on Bachelor In Paradise airs. Even JoJo herself was ready to "go off" on him, but decided not to waste her breath. Johnson later told ABC News, "I’m the villain for the right reasons. I’m the villain because I’m the guy that showed up and was trying to do things for real."

Doubling down on hateful rhetoric — sound like anyone you know? When Trump was faced with criticism over his proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States, he changed his plan to an "expansion" that would ban "immigration from any nation that has been compromised by terrorism." And hey! They've both been compared to Hitler.

Trump and Johnson have so much in common that Johnson actually offered to be Trump's vice president back in June. Tweeting at @realdonaldtrump from his handle — you guessed it, @realchadjohnson — he wrote, "I hear you need a VP Running Mate. Look no further. Let's do this #MakeAmericaGreatAgain #MakeTheBachelorGreatAgain."

Of course, even though they are pretty darn similar, they're moving on to other endeavors. Trump has, of course, picked controversial Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, and Johnson is, of course, going on to create controversy in paradise. But don't put it past these two to team up in the future. They've still got plenty of time while their moments of fame last. And if there's one thing both villains definitely like, it's drama.
