Kourtney Does Iceland Without Scott On 'KUWTK'

by Nicole Pomarico

Iceland was never on my long list of places I need to travel before I die, but after watching this Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, I'm officially making an addition. And if you're celebrating a birthday there like Kourtney did, it seems like the perfect location — even if you're not there to watch Kanye West film a music video like she was. And being that it was Kourtney's first birthday without Scott Disick, it could have been a little weird, and for her former longtime partner, it really was.

At first, when Scott found out that Kourtney would be out of the country for her birthday, it was pretty tough for him to deal with. After they'd been together for a decade, it was the first time he wouldn't be with her to celebrate. Kourtney seemed totally fine with it, but it bugged Scott — to the point that he asked Kris and Kim if he should show up and surprise her so their tradition wouldn't be broken. To me, that's the most heartbreaking part of seeing Scott and Kourtney apart on this show: How much he wants to get back together with her and how much she's enjoying her independence.

In the end, Scott decided against doing a surprise ambush, and sent her flowers instead. Kourtney seemed happy, and she got to have a good time with her friends and without the kids in a super beautiful country. She even ate hot dogs — yeah, Kourtney, the woman who only eats organic food. So obviously, she was really letting loose.

It's really sad (especially since I absolutely adore them together), but maybe if Scott can give Kourtney the space she needs, they'll eventually find their way back to each other? It's a long shot, but stranger things have happened!
