How To Get A Free Slurpee At 7-Eleven Today

I'll always be down for a Slurpee run, but when it's a free Slurpee run, consider me extra interested. Although you may not have immediately realized it when you looked at your calendar, today is July 11, aka 7/11, aka 7-Eleven Day, and you can get a free small Slurpee at 7-Eleven to celebrate anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. today. What is it about free stuff that just makes it seem even more delicious?

There is another pretty major milestone at play here as well — 7-Eleven is also celebrating the Slurpee's 50th birthday. That's right, the cold, icy, fruity slushy you spent your childhood obsessing over is just about as grown-up as they come, and in honor of hitting the big 5-0, 7-Eleven is offering up a limited-time Birthday Cake-flavored Slurpee at participating stores. The convenience store chain describes the drink as being the "perfect combination of traditional birthday cake and vanilla ice cream," which to me kind of sounds like ice cream cake in a cup, which I am definitely in to.

As for 7-Eleven itself? It's currently celebrating its 89th birthday, which is all the more reason to stop by and pick up a free treat. After all, it's a Monday. You are going to need something sweet to look forward to. Here's how to get your free Slurpee:

1. Locate your closest 7-Eleven store

You can use this handy dandy map locator to help you out.

2. Go there between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Think of it as an all-day Slurpee happy hour, if you will.

3. Pick your favorite Slurpee flavor and order it in a small size

For what it's worth, Sour Patch Redberry Slurpee is also new this year, and it sounds incredible.

4. Pay ZERO dollars

Doesn't get much easier than that, does it?

If you can't make it to 7-Eleven today, no worries. July 12 through July 18 is officially Slurpee Week. 7-Eleven Mobile App users who buy seven Slurpees this week and scan the app will get 11 Slurpees free. I can already feel the brain freeze coming on.
