It seems like Starbucks has been rolling out a new iced beverage almost every single week this summer, each one more delicious than the next. For instance, what's in the Teavana Shaken Iced Berry Sangria Herbal Tea that makes it so absolutely irresistible? The drink officially makes its debut at participating Starbucks stores across the U.S. on July 12, but those of you lucky Starbucks Rewards members who just so happened to snag a sneak peek a day early already know that this is going to be a summer go-to. Even if you happen to fall more in the iced coffee camp, this refreshing iced tea beverage is something you have to try at least once.
Obviously, the 'Bux knows a thing or two about creating quality iced beverages. The coffee chain has expanded its repertoire of frosty treats in the last few months, introducing us to the likes of Nitro Cold Brew, Granitas, and even an Affogato-Style Frappuccino last week. The latest drink to come down the pipeline consists of a Teavana Iced Passion Tango Tea base — which, if you've never tried it before, is a super yummy (and gorgeously pink) herbal tea with notes of hibiscus, lemongrass, and apple. Then, to kick things up a notch, Starbucks adds a few pumps of its new sangria syrup — a blend of peach, elderberry, blood orange, and raspberry. Sounds delicious, right? But we're not done yet. To give the drink a final, fruity kick, fresh blackberries, orange slices, and apple juice is shaken in to make this an ultra enjoyable and non-alcoholic take on your favorite patio pitcher drink. As you may have gathered from the drink's title, this is an herbal tea-based drink, so it doesn't contain any caffeine (if you're looking for an extra boost, you should try out the Starbucks Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato, which also makes its debut this week). So, if too much coffee in the afternoon makes you overly fidgety, this could be the solution to your problems.
As for price? A grande will set you back between $3.95 and $4.25, depending on where you live. The drink is expected to stick around all summer, so you have plenty of opportunity to get your hands on the fruit-filled wonder of Teavana Shaken Iced Berry Sangria.
