This Drink Is Arriving On The Starbucks Menu SOON

It’s often said that good things come to those who wait — but I have good news for those wondering exactly how long they’re going to have to wait until they can try Starbucks’ latest summer treat. So if you — like myself — have been curious about when the Starbucks Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato is available and how long we'll have to enjoy it… guess what? I have answers! And even better, the short versions of those answers are, “Soon,” and “All summer long!” Hoorah!

Here are the long versions of thos magificent answers: Starting on July 12, this decadent, coconut-y concoction will be available at Starbucks locations in the United States and Canada. July 12 is, uh, tomorrow, so remember that whole thing where I said it was happening “soon?” Well, I wasn’t kidding. And what’s more, it’s happening even sooner for some people: If you’re a Starbucks Rewards Member, you can start enjoying the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato on July 11 — also known as today. What’s more, it’ll be available throughout the summer as long as supplies last; as such, I’m pretty sure you’ve got until the reappearance of the Pumpkin Spice Latte to get your macchiato on. Call it two months, give or take.

I’ve got to say, I’ve been enjoying the leisurely way Starbucks’ summer treats have been rolling out; even though they are seasonal specialties, we’ve still got ample time to try them out. In contrast, the spring, with its seemingly endless selection of extremely limited edition beverages, had us racing to grab them for the few days they were each available. Not that that wasn’t fun, too — but summer is a time for kicking back and relaxing (even if you’re not in an environment where summer break is still a thing). It’s nice to know that we don’t have to scramble to get a hold of things like the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato and the Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino.

(Yes, that GIF is possibly the tackiest GIF in the history of tacky GIFs. Yes, I love it. No regrets.)

In any event, the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato features chilled coconut milk with espresso poured over it; there’s also some white chocolate mocha sauce in there, as well as a mocha swirl and a caramel sauce drizzle on the top. A Grande has about 150 mg of caffeine and will cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $4.95 to $5.25, depending on the market. Yes, please, and thank you.
