Emma Stone Is So Versatile On 'Maya & Marty'

It feels like just yesterday that comedians Martin Short and Maya Rudolph teamed up for the star-studded NBC variety show Maya & Marty, but alas, the season finale aired on Tuesday night with even more stars. Throughout the season, the duo welcomed the likes of Drake, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, John Cena, Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, and more. On Tuesday night, Emma Stone guest starred on the Maya and Marty season finale and showed off her versitility. She brought the funny in two sketches and even sang a harmonious a capella duet with Rudolph. Is there anything she can't do?

Stone first appeared in an infomercial sketch, in which the voice over person keeps repeating the phone number, because none of the actors can remember to write it down. But she truly leaves an impression in the sketch "Ghost Interns," in which new employee Kenan Thompson stays late at his new office and sees the interns who perished haunting the workplace. Stone plays one of the eager interns, who constantly say "sorry to bug," and offer to make Starbucks runs, collate files, and "get experience at a dynamic workplace." Thompson gets super spooked, but boss Martin Short can't see them — because he's a ghost, too. What a twist.

Then Stone switched gears to perform an angelic a capella version of Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend" with Rudolph with butter tubs. Think of Anna Kendrick singing "Cups" (with a cup) in Pitch Perfect , but Stone and Rudolph provide the percussion with butter tubs. Their voices fit together perfectly and the harmony is glorious. It shouldn't be a total surprise that Stone is not only a great actress, but a stellar singer — she showed off her pipes briefly while singing Natasha Bendingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" in the movie Easy A and she rocked Meredith Brook's "Bitch" on a VH1 reality show as a teenager (as "Emily Stone").

So it's true — Emma Stone really can do it all. Watch the "Call Your Girlfriend" duet below.
