The 'Transformers 4' Has Arrived

by Alanna Bennett

The title Transformers: Age of Extinction means this franchise is about to go extinct, yes? Don't mean to start out salty, but I can't help but remember a gag on 30 Rock where Liz Lemon walked past a poster for Transformers 5 and the byline read "written by No One." It stuck with me, and now, with the trailer for Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction , here we are.

This one stars Mark Wahlberg, an all-American dad (you can tell because he adorns random objects with the American flag) who just can't stop spending money on junk. Junk like beat-up semi trucks which, you guessed it, transform into animate other things! His very conventionally attractive daughter (Nicola Peltz) is super shocked and worried about the whole thing, which she probably should be because according to this trailer she is very likely in danger. Also Kelsey Grammer is there????

Here's the synopsis according to Cinemablend: "A mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them"

Sometimes you just need some explosions in a cool movie theater to break up your summer, y'know? Michael Bay's career is built on it.
