How To Get The Most Out Of Your Pokestop

Pokestops are a chill spot. An oasis in the desert. A place for infinite rejuvenation. So yeah, you're going to want to hit them up all the time because, in "Pokemon Go," Pokestops where you can pick up items like Pokeballs, eggs, and more for your inventory. They're normally based at a place of interest — think a statue or a church or some other monument, but if in doubt, check on your phone for the blue circle with a Pokeball in the center of it and that's where you'll want to be. But how often can you use a Pokestop? So much more often than you'd expect.

Since you're able to get items from a Pokestop around every five minutes or so, a smart plan is to find an area with multiple stops and go tour around them. If you walk round in a circuit, by the time you get back to the beginning, you can hit up your first Pokestop again. Endless replenishing as soon as the Pokestop turns back from purple (unavailable) to blue (available). So, what are you going to want to stock up on while you're there? Bear in mind lots of items aren't available until you reach at least level 5 so you might need to get busy training if you want to make the very most of the location.

To start with, it's your most cost-effective option for Pokeballs, which you'll usually find one or two of per stop. You could grab a potion to rebuild your Pokemon's HP following a battle, a Revive will restore half of their health while you can use a Razzberry to significantly increase your chances of catching a wild Pokemon when you're finding it hard to get them to stay in the Pokeball. You can also stock up on both eggs and Lucky Eggs at Pokestops. What's the difference? An egg houses a Pokemon that will only hatch after you've placed it in an incubator and walked a certain number of kilometers. Lucky Eggs are only available for players who have reached Level 9 or above and will double all the wild Pokemon's XP you get for 30 minutes.
