What Movies Has Norman Reedus Been In?

by Alanna Bennett

The Walking Dead elicits a lot of strong reactions from people, both positive and negative, but one thing's for sure: A lot of people are very invested in Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon. Remember Sawyer from Lost? Yeah he seems to pretty much be the Sawyer from Lost of The Walking Dead. It all begs the question, though: What else has been going on with Reedus' career, outside of that whole running-from-the-zombie-apocalypse thing.

Going back before the zombies, Reedus' first movie was Floating , with Reedus playing Van, a man "[coming] of age during a violent period of emotional and financial bankruptcy... a son shouldering the responsibility of his embittered father, with no one to nurture him through his own pain." Wow. Intense. In 1999, he starred alongside Willem Dafoe and Sean Patrick Flanery as Murphy MacManus in The Boondock Saints, and the following year he moved on to star alongside Kate Hudson, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek) and James Marsden as part of the main cast of Gossip.

Since then, he's been working pretty regularly, with bit parts in American Gangster (he's credited as "Detective in Morgue"), and Cadillac Records (Chess Engineer). His most recent role is in 2013's Pawn Shop Chronicles, which starred Paul Walker, and Sunlight Jr., where he starred opposite Naomi Watts and Matt Dillon. He's currently filming Air , with Blood Diamond's Djimon Hounsou, which is about "two custodians who struggle to hold onto their sanity living in an underground bunker with cryogenically frozen people meant to re-populate society."

Maybe he should star with Aaron Paul in some kind of buddy comedy about two intensely lovable "underdogs" living in extremely stressful circumstances. Just a thought.

Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
