Megyn Kelly Is Definitely At The RNC

by Erin Corbett

Donald Trump was officially announced as the GOP's nominee on Tuesday night, though not without a fair share of drama. Yup, the man who has been known to make misogynist comments and actions throughout his primary campaign is now an official presidential nominee. Trump's personal war on women has included Twitter posts about his opponent Ted Cruz's wife, presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and a beloved Fox News anchor. Given his tumultuous history with the Kelly File host, it's worth questioning: Is Megyn Kelly at the Republican National Convention?

Trump's feud with Kelly dates back to the first GOP debate when Kelly asked the nominee about his history of derogatory comments about women. She asked, "You've called women you don't like 'fat pigs,' 'dogs,' 'slobs,' and 'disgusting animals.' Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?" Since then, the two have allegedly made amends during a private meeting and follow-up interview that aired in May.

Whether or not Trump and Kelly are on good terms, Kelly is at the RNC convention where she is hosting The Kelly File and discussing Trump's official nomination and remarks, as well as his wife Melania's speech.

Kelly has been live-tweeting from the RNC, as well, which has provided viewers at home with an inside look at the madness of the convention. From tweets about the themes of each night (the first night was "Make America Safe Again," and the second night was "Make America Work Again") to posting controversial quotes from convention speeches, Kelly has played an integral role in broadcasting the RNC to everyone at home.

Despite a less-than-perfect relationship with Trump in the past, it's clear that Kelly is at the RNC and she will continue to do her job as a reporter from the convention. I know I'll be keeping an eye on her Twitter feed this week to relive the most shocking moments from each of the convention speeches.
