All 170 New Movies You Can Stream In August

Let's face it, August is kind of lame. The dog days of summer are too hot, and there aren't even any holidays to distract from the heat like the other summer months. August is just kind of there, taking up space on the calendar until more exciting months arrive. Which is why it's the perfect month for staying in, cranking the A/C, and streaming movies until Labor Day. That's why I've compiled this list of every single new movie streaming in August on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now; so regardless of what streaming services you subscribe to, you'll find plenty to watch here.

And just to clarify, these aren't all of the movies these services offer. These are just the new ones being added for August. So you can expect to see a healthy mix of recent theatrical releases, cult favorites from your childhood, and maybe even a few all-time classics. There are also some original films, because all of these companies are more and more about producing their own content these days; as well as some fantastic documentaries. So get ready to enjoy August for once, and take a look at all of the new movies that begin streaming this month.
