11 Runway Manicures from Fashion Week Fall 2014
Nails were subtler than usual on the Fall 2014 runways. It's likely that the fashion industry is experiencing the exhaustion with nail art that the rest of the world suffers from. Whatever the cause, any decoration on the nail usually came in the form of embellishments on the tip or the half-moon, nada más. And while many of the manicures were trimmed short and squared off, as we've come to expect from a Proper Mani, there were a few long-clawed looks that kind of thrilled us — inspired, perhaps, by the Jenner sisters' penchant for claws?

This nail length, somewhere between demurely trimmed and Kardashian-ly long, is really flattering on fingers. Like a high heel for your hand.

Prabal Gurung debuted a tweed-inspired manicure. Thankfully, the nubby imperfection of actual tweed means you can approximate the look yourself without much trouble by drawing thin vertical and horizontal lines over a topcoat.
