Watch Ruth Bader Ginsburg Get Down At The RNC

The Republican National Convention has been an exciting and, at times, confusing four-day event for the entire nation to watch, as the GOP stumbled through what should've been a flawless process. There was controversy which caused some notable Republicans to skip the convention, but thanks to Saturday Night Live's special "Weekend Update" segment at the RNC, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Donald Trump met again... sort of.

The hilarious Kate McKinnon played Justice Ginsburg in the RNC edition of "Weekend Update," in which she talked about the real-life controversy with Trump. Before the convention, Ginsburg openly criticized Trump and, somewhat injudiciously, expressed her personal opinions about him as a potential president: "He is a faker. He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego. ... How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that."

Trump responded to Ginsburg's harsh criticisms by calling for her resignation from the Supreme Court, saying that "her mind is shot." But in this midst of the dramatic reality of this and the RNC, SNL's special "Weekend Update" offered a hilarious reprieve, and showed a different, more sassy side of Ginsburg that we've all been waiting for.

“Trump picked a fight with the wrong 15-pound, 200-year-old marionette, baby!” McKinnon-as-Ginsburg yelled just as she began her signature dance, flapping her arms about. And of course she had to address Trump's call for her resignation: "Look, if my mind is shot, then Donald Trump's mind is shot, stabbed, strangled, put in a vat of wet cement, and dumped into the Gowanus Canal."

And McKinnon wasted no time in talking about some of the convention's biggest players, such as Chris Christie, who delivered a speech that basically turned into a prosecuting trial for Hillary Clinton. "Weekend Update" co-host Colin Jost told McKinnon that after Christie's speech, Trump was reportedly considering him for recently-deceased Justice Antonin Scalia's vacant seat. “Chris Christie on the Supreme Court? I’d rather have an empty chair than a broken one!” McKinnon (but I'd like to think Ginsburg, too) said.

Another hilarious moment came when McKinnon said that "she has no sense of respect" and that's why she went "too far" in criticizing Trump. "I'm like a flea: I can jump 40 times my own height, and you can never get rid of me. I rode here on a dog, Colin... his name's Mike Pence."
