Hillary Clinton Looks So Regal In Her White Suit

by Eliza Florendo

While tonight isn't about Hillary Clinton's look, but rather, her rallying speech at the Democratic National Convention, I've got to say— Hillary Clinton's white suit on Thursday evening totally nailed it. While she's gone for her signature colorful power suits in the past, the official Democratic presidential nominee went for a simple, minimal look tonight: a regal white pantsuit.

Over the past three days at the Democratic National Convention, we've seen Clinton in deep blues, rich reds, and now, a crisp monochromatic look. The pantsuit has long been in her style arsenal, wearing greens, pinks, oranges, reds, purples, and more. Her style evolution is more like an ever-changing color palette. Although, young Clinton photos show her donned in striped pants, long locks, a breezy blouse, and her iconic glasses.

Who do we have to thank for her instantly-recognizable style? A few people: The Business of Fashion reported that editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour has had some influence in Hillary's key pieces during this campaign, contacting American designers to pull looks for Clinton. BoF also reported that Clinton has enlisted the help of Kristina Schake, a woman who contributed to Michelle Obama's looks in the past.

Tonight, while giving her speech, Clinton stood up to the podium, welcomed by her daughter Chelsea, and accepted the Democratic presidential nomination.

As Clinton spoke about her father who worked hard to give her and her brothers' opportunities and her mother's struggles, saying "we have to look out for each other, and lift each other up," the crowds cheered. In her minimal, yet fiercely powerful suit, she delivered her powerful, poignant speech with tact, grace, and passion.
