Will Smith Delivers The Best Talk Show Entrance

I love Will Smith, you love Will Smith, the whole world loves Will Smith. How else to explain the insane, bombastic, Will Smith Jimmy Fallon entrance? Celebrity gossip tends to make me feel faintly nauseous, that fast-food combo of being both glutted and empty, but I could read articles about Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith's off-beat, fabulous marriage every day. When I'm sad, I watch reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air until I can't take the off-neon color scheme anymore. And Smith definitely is aware of this, as his entrance on The Tonight Show proved.

It was an entrance equal to the insane, bombastic level of love we all have for Hollywood's most charismatic star. And, no, don't try and tell me that's George Clooney. There's one clear difference: George Clooney is nice. Smith is everything.

Anyway, finally we got an entrance that was worthy of Smith, thanks to Thursday July 28's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The actor, who was there to promote his appearance in Suicide Squad, insisted on giving the crowd what they want: namely, a really, really damn big entrance. Smith keeps it relatively low-key at first, strutting onto the show to a standing ovation and giving the audience some of that warm Will Smith charisma. But then things get more exciting. Check it out:

Yes. Yes, yes, yes. "I think I can do it better," says Smith, and suddenly everything gets better. From mild strutting to running onto the stage in a giant hamster ball to creating some televisual Studio 54 vibes to a gospel choir/red carpet/unicorn mashup, he proves he "can do it better" than anyone else. Where were the deciding editors at the Guinness Book of Records? This journalist hopes they happened to be tuning in, because as subjective a category as "coolest ever talk show entrance" is, what the heck could be better than that?

Nothing. Go home. Turn off the Internet, turn off your televisions. We're done here. Will Smith is the king of the universe and we're his groveling servants.
