How to Watch 'SNL' After Saturday

The importance of actually watching Saturday Night Live, as its title suggests, live, varies depending on each week's host. There was no rush when The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons hosted on March 1, but the Jimmy Fallon Christmas episode could not wait. But hey, it's Saturday night. We can't all be pressed to the TV screen at 11:30 p.m. You'll probably be at a bar hanging out with friends or in the middle of a romantic evening with your significant other, or let's be honest here, sleeping. And if you forget to set the DVR or don't have one, don't worry, you can still watch SNL as soon as you recover/wake up on Sunday morning. Here's how.

On Demand

Most cable companies have the major networks On Demand for free, with content usually posting the day after airing. It should even have less commercials than watching live. Cable providers with NBC On Demand include Comcast, Optimum, Time Warner, DirecTV, FiOS, AT&T and more, so check with your provider.

Hulu

NBC posts full episodes of Saturday Night Live on Hulu the day after it airs, with no Hulu Plus subscription required. They also post individual sketches as clips so you can pick and choose what to watch, with the only exception being a sketch that includes licensed music, which will be removed from any online version.

NBC.com

The NBC website essentially works the same way as Hulu, with clips and the full episode posting the day after air, minus licensed music.

YouTube

The official SNL YouTube account should post some sketches from the episode, but not all of them, so Hulu or nbc.com is a better choice if you want to see the full episode. However, YouTube will likely be the only place you can find a sketch that is removed from the full online episode, thanks to savvy fans with steady hands and video cameras. It's basically the only, though not entirely legal, way to see certain sketches if you want to make sure you didn't miss a single minute.

Happy SNL-ing!
