16 'Housewives' Vacations For Your Bucket List

by Marenah Dobin

Although I feel like the setting plays a crucial part in the different shows that are a part of the Real Housewives franchise, I think that all super fans can agree that the most enviable episodes are the ones where the ladies go on vacation. Of course, I'm sure that no one is jealous of the drama that always goes down, but most of the time I find myself wanting to add the Real Housewives vacation spots to my bucket list.

Obviously, I can't really afford most of the vacations that most of the Real Housewives cast members go on, but I sure can dream about them. Even if I was in their same tax bracket, I still couldn't go on a lot of these trips since a good amount of them actually take place at the women's vacation homes. That's right. Not only are these ladies rich enough to have mansions in big cities, but they also have spare mansions out in the country and in tropical locales.

Not only were the trips below iconic for the drama that occurred, but some of the locations were just too amazing that it was hard to pay attention to what was actually going on with the story lines.

These are the top Real Housewives vacation destinations to add to your bucket list.

1. The Hamptons — RHONY & RHOBH

If you go to the Hamptons in the summer, there is a really good chance that you will spot the Real Housewives of New York City cast — well, if you go to the right party. Even the Beverly Hills ladies went this year and end up hanging with RHONY's Bethenny Frankel. If you want to wear all white and sip on rosé to avoid the summer heat, the Hamptons is the place for you.

2. Dubai — RHOBH

This is one of those vacations that is just way out of my price range. If you can afford it, you need to go to the sky high mall where the RHOBH cast shopped, try local cuisine, and ride around in the desert just like the ladies.

3. Turks & Caicos — RHONY

It's hard for me to think of this vacation and move past the drama that occurred, but other than that it really seems like a great place to go if you want to lay on the beach, swim in the pool, or snorkel in the ocean.

4. Puerto Rico — RHOA & RHOBH

Head to Puerto Rico to dip your toes in the white sand beaches, explore the coral reef, or try your hand at surfing. And if you're really not an outdoor person, we all have seen the Real Housewives ladies drinking it up and having a fun time on land.

5. Miami — RHONY, RHONJ, & RHOA

Multiple Real Housewives shows have been to Miami, so you really have to go if you're a fan. Plus, it's great that you don't need a passport to head to this hot destination. You can check out the art deco architecture and dance it up in the Miami club scene.

6. Napa Valley — RHONJ & RHOC

When I hear the words "Napa Valley," I immediately think vineyard, and obviously that makes my mind think of all the wine and cheese tastings I could attend. This is the perfect vacation to channel I Love Lucy and make wine by stomping in a giant bucket. Visiting Napa Valley provides the perfect combination of being creative and turning up.

7. Italy — RHONJ

Italy would be the best vacation for anyone who enjoys a big meal. From the pasta to the pizza to the amazing desserts, this is the kind of vacation that I would plan around eating. Plus, the gondola rides are a rite of passage.

8. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic — RHONJ

Punta Cana just makes me think of all inclusive resorts. From swimming up to the pool bar to trying out hobbies like windsurfing and sailing, Punta Cana is a great vacation for both relaxing and being active.

9. Paris — RHOBH

There is so much to do in Paris. From enjoying French cuisine to writing your name on a love lock to taking pictures at the Eiffel Tower, there is almost too much to do and see.

10. Bali — RHOC

Bali has so much more to offer than a standard vacation. If you go on vacation in Bali you can explore the temples, check out the volcanic mountains, try out yoga, or relax on the beach.

11. Palm Springs — RHOBH

Sadly, the fans cannot hang out at Kyle Richards' Palm Springs home, but there are obviously other houses in the area for anyone who wants to relax pool side and channel the Real Housewives.

12. Virgin Islands — RHONY

As awful as this vacation looked on the show, it really does seem like a nice place to go on vacation if reality TV cast members are not in attendance. Those white sand beaches look perfect for relaxing, and I'm sure it would be fun to hang out on a boat and float around with friends.

13. Colorado — RHOBH

This is a little different from most of the Real Housewives vacation destinations since it is not at all tropical. If you want to take a more active getaway by skiing or snowboarding on the slopes, Colorado would be a great spot. Unfortunately, you probably can't stay at Camille Grammer's vacation pad.

14. Tahiti — RHOC

If you are the kind of person who loves to explore the surroundings on a vacation, Tahiti would be a great place to visit. You can check out the volcanoes, the beaches, and the waterfalls.

15. St. Barts — RHONY

St. Barts just seems like such a Housewives spot to visit. There is just some air of exclusivity that makes it seem so appealing. The RHONY cast stayed at a private resort and got all the luxury and seclusion that they desired — well, minus the camera crew. If you go, you can lounge with your friends on the beach or on a yacht (budget depending).

16. Anguilla — RHOA

When I picture Anguilla, I just think of Kenya coining her "Gone with the wind fabulous" catchphrase, but other than that it really did seem like a lovely vacation spot. With the warm weather, it seems like the ideal vacation to enjoy water sports or just take a break from real life on the beach.

Us fans might not have the budget of the Real Housewives, but these ladies definitely give us vacation goals to strive for, save up for, or at least to dream about. If only everyone had television-sponsored trips with their friends — and frenemies.
