14 '90s Celebs We Still Love Today

by Caitlyn Callegari

Being that we decrepit creatures born in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s are all old farts now, we can do things like look back on decades past and actually remember, with vivid detail, the progression of certain things. Like, say, the general public’s undying love for certain celebrities and how that love has only gotten stronger over time. There’s something about longevity in Hollywood that is fascinating, because not many stars manage to stay famous for so many years. Yet the below list of celebrities we love just as much now as we did in the ‘90s give the few prolific peeps out there some well-deserved credit.

No matter if they’re singers, actors, or general entertainers, these 14 celebrities have made names for themselves by consistently recreating their brands while staying true to their uniqueness. It’s a tricky and slippery slope, but they have all somehow managed to appeal to fans and grow with them over time, and it’s truly something to marvel at — especially considering that fans who start out as children and teens can be a particularly fickle bunch.

That said, here are 14 awesome celebrities whom our love for has aged like a true, fine wine.

Considering that no one has ever gotten over Full House, being that there's a whole new sequel series in Fuller House, it makes sense that we haven't let Uncle Jesse go, either. Hubba Hubba.

2. Will Smith

From Fresh Prince to Suicide Squad, Smith has proven himself to not only excel at his craft, but endear himself to his fans for decades.

3. Jared Leto

This unconventional, zany dude has been making fans scream like the Beatles since his My So-Called Life days.

4. Britney Spears

Not only do I love Spears as much as I did as a kid, I may just love her more after witnessing her inspiring comeback.

5. Justin Timberlake

Oh, JT. There's too much to put into words. But, I think his 2013 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award (aka an award honoring his long career) speaks for itself.

6. Christina Aguilera

Once a bonafide diva (and I mean that in the best way), always a bonafide diva. Aguilera is timeless.

7. Usher

Despite not looking a day over 25, Usher has, in fact, been making music since the '90s and we are all still groovin' decades later.

8. Jennifer Aniston

Rachel Green was born in 1994 (in viewers' eyes, at least), and since then, Aniston has had a permanent place in all of our hearts. Just ask the tabloids who can simply not stop talking about her... like, ever.

9. Neil Patrick Harris

NPH has been around for quite some time, being a child actor and all, and audiences' love for him has never, ever faltered.

10. Reese Witherspoon

If Legally Blonde's recent 15 year anniversary was any indication, fans still go wild for Elle Woods and the versatile actor who plays her.

11. Jennifer Lopez

This one's a given. But, really, J.Lo has only gotten more amazing with time, and she was pretty great to begin with.

12. Gwen Stefani

Perhaps one of the most badass lead singers of our time, Stefani's endeavor into her solo career just made fans stan her that much more.

13. Missy Elliot

Remember when we all collectively lost it as a nation when she came out during Katy Perry's Superbowl performance?

14. Beyonce

Um, duh. Actually, fans probably love her even more now than they did in the '90s during the Destiny's Child era, considering the total icon status she's achieved over the years. She's not called "Queen Bey" for nothing.

All in all, I bet our love for these incomparable celebs will only grow.
