Here's Why You Need to Watch 'The Bachelorette'

I think everyone both in The Bachelor's studio audience and watching at home breathed a collective sigh of relief when Andi Dorfman was announced as the next Bachelorette. After the weirdness of the season and the awkwardness of last night, everyone is ready to move on and Andi is about the best person we could move on with. She lightened the whole mood of the night on Monday, making jokes, beaming, talking about love, and essentially being the perfect Bachelorette candidate. Although we would have been happy with anyone who wasn't Juan Pablo, Andi is the dream because she encompasses everything we could want in The Bachelorette.

Here are 6 reasons her season will be the breath of fresh air we all need.

1. BACHELORETTES HAVE A HIGHER RELATIONSHIP SUCCESS RATE

If you were disappointed by Juan Pablo's lackluster finale, you'll want to know this: Compared to the Bachelor, its counterpart The Bachelorette has a higher chance of ending in a proposal and having the relationship work out. This is good news for Andi and for fans who want to see her as happy as Bachelorettes before her like Des Hartsock and Ashley Rosenbaum.

2. ANDI'S NOT AFRAID OF CONFRONTATION

If she sees something she doesn't like in a guy, she's not going to be afraid to bring it up, and not just in an interview. She'll take that conversation right to his face.

3. SHE'S NOT GOING TO LET JERKY GUYS GET PAST HER

During last night's "After the Final Rose" Chris Harrison introduced Andi as the next Bachelorette and then asked her what she would do if a guy pulled a Juan Pablo on her and tried to only offer a rose and no "I love you." Andi joked, "I'm going to say 'where's the next one?'" After leaving Juan Pablo's season of her own accord we're confident she's not going to waste her time on guys that aren't there for the right reasons.

4. SHE'S REALLY DEDICATED

Andi left her district attorney job to do the show which is a big deal because she loves her job. But she's ready to settle down with the man of her dreams. "I feel all in," she said on Monday night. For her to put something like that on hold to do this show means she's going to take it very seriously. She's like the anti-Juan Pablo.

5. SHE'S FUNNY

At the end of the night this is an entertainment show and Andi has to be interesting enough for an audience to care. Fortunately she's been pretty darn hilarious from mocking Juan Pablo to announcing "I hope I don't pop this dress!" when she was introduced as the new Bachelorette Monday night. We're optimistic she can keep that attitude up throughout her season which will make it a joy to watch unlike this last one.

6. THE BACHELOR FAMILY LOVES HER

It's been gratifying to see that the Bachelor Family was just as fed up with Juan Pablo as we were, but it'll be nice to see them all on the same side again. The former contestants from this season and past ones all really love Andi, and they're excited watch her journey. So are we. It's been a long few months with JP, we're ready to reach the light at the end of the tunnel and move forward with bubbly Andi. Summer can't come soon enough.
