Katharine McPhee & Husband Work on Their Marriage, Plus 7 Other Celebrity Makeups

The off-screen drama of American Idol runner-up and Smash star Katharine McPhee's personal life took center stage last year when the actress/singer was photographed kissing director Michael Morris, during what turned out to be a separation from her husband Nick Cokas. But it appears that the couple are trying to forgive and forget as they are reportedly attempting to reconcile.

Proving how serious they are about hanging in there through thick and thin, here are seven more celebrity couples who weathered relationship turmoil and went from breaking up to making up.

Snoop Dogg & wife Shante

Unfortunately for high school sweethearts Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante, their marriage hit an extra bumpy spot when the rapper filed for divorce in 2004, citing irreconcilable differences. Eventually Snoop proved that his bark was bigger than his bite and he and his “Boss Lady” renewed their vows in 2008. Snoop later claimed that his daughter’s lupus diagnosis helped the couple see past their differences. Any woman who can accept Snoop’s name changes, manicure obsession and pimp persona definitely deserves a second chance.

Pink & Carey Hart

It’s no wonder singer Pink turns all those flips in her acrobatic stage performances. True to her rebellious nature, she proposed to her motorcycle racing beau Carey Hart and didn’t look back—that is, until the couple’s demanding tour schedules took a toll on their relationship. Thankfully, they managed to recover and welcomed daughter Willow Sage in 2011.

Timbaland & Monique Mosley

Mega-music producer Timbaland, known for his monster collaborations with artists like Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, discovered that one major partnership in his life was nearing its end–his marriage. After five years of apparently less-than wedded bliss, Timbaland’s wife Monique Mosley filed for divorce. Despite Mosley’s request for alimony and child support, the couple appear to be resolving their marital drama, which is music to our ears.

Kristin Cavallari & Jay Cutler

After reality starlet Kristin Cavallari and her NFL beau Jay Cutler ended their engagement in 2011, it appeared that Cavallari was literally headed for the hills. Fortunately, the handsome couple turned things around when they announced they had a child on the way. They later made it official when they exchanged vows last year in Nashville. Making their reunion even sweeter, the couple is expecting another baby soon.

Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

When this couple called off their engagement in 2011, after three and a half years, there were probably more sighs of relief than tears of sadness. After all both are super sexy and their breakup revived long-standing fantasies. Alas, they preceded to break hearts again when they reconciled and married. Timberlake seems satisfied with the turnaround, calling Biel “the best wife in the world.”

Kourtney Kardashian & Scott Disick

After a 6-month breakup, it only took a one-night hook up for the couple to reunite. Even though their relationship has been plagued by breakup rumors, two kids and an engagement later, their relationship seems to still be going strong. Kardashian proved that she is in no competition with her sisters, who have a total of three marriages under their belts. After seven years, she and Disick are rumored to be preparing for a wedding in Mexico.

Billy Ray Cyrus and wife Tish (Miley's parents)

Despite having an “achy, breaky heart,” the parents of Miley Cyrus found a way to mend their broken relationship despite announcing plans to divorce after a 19-year marriage. The couple’s solution was simple: they woke up, or at least that’s what they claimed when they decided to stick it out and see if making two more decades together was in the cards.
