Jaime's Hand Won The 'Vanity Fair' Photo Shoot

by Kristie Rohwedder

Whoever edited the behind-the-scenes video of the Game of Thrones Vanity Fair cover shoot is a genius. A bonafide genius. One moment, we're watching the cast pose and be posed, the next, we're face-to-face with Jaime Lannister's (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) prosthetic hand. This happens several times. Its peppered throughout the vid, and it never loses its oomph. Jaime's freaky prosthetic hand is the video.

Here are the true star's greatest moments:

-2:07 Wait... go back to Jaime's hand. Could we get a close up?

-1:53 Whoa. Ask, and you shall receive. Hey, wooden zombie hand!

-1:37 Aw, crap. We're too far away again. Would it be too much to ask for another up-close-and-personal shot of the wooden zombie hand?

-1:36 YES. WE'RE ZOOMING. WOODEN ZOMBIE HAND!!!

-1:32 OH GOD. SHE’S HOLDING AND PATTING THE WOODEN ZOMBIE HAND.

-1:31 OH GOD. WE’RE ZOOMING EVEN MORE.

-1:30 WE HAVEN’T STOPPED ZOOMING.

-1:29 WE ARE NOW ONE WITH THE WOODEN ZOMBIE HAND.

-1:28 She laughs and releases the wooden zombie hand. I immediately feel better.

-1:27 Look at those fingers. That hand looks like something a swamp gave birth to.

-1:12 AHHHHHH. We’d gone 15 seconds without the wooden zombie hand. I thought we were done for good. Huge mistake on my part.

-1:11 Gorgeous craftsmanship.

-1:10 Oh, so we’re still zoomed in on this thing, huh?

-1:09 Byyyye, wooden zombie hand! It’s been real.

-1:08 Keep in touch (zing!), wooden zombie hand!

-1:07 (Waves)

-1:06 I'll remember you always, wooden zombie hand!
