Feast Your Unworthy Eyes On This Fancy AF Dorm

I personally can't remember much about buying stuff for my college dorm, except that I was exceptionally pleased with myself for remembering to bring a plastic trash can (oh, my ideas of adulthood back then). But 18-year-old me just got retroactively stomped on by Lindy Goodson and Abby Bozeman, two freshmen at the University of Mississippi whose gorgeous, fancy dorm room is now going viral for being VIP-hotel-level stunning faster than most of us could sputter "Where's the dining hall?" The room is so perfectly coordinated and symmetrical that for the first time in literally the history of forever, living in a dorm looks fun.

The extra insane part of this room, though? The girls live clear across the country from each other, and before move-in day, they had never met face-to-face.

She lives in Illinois and I live in Mississippi, so it was like a long distance thing,” said Bozeman to BuzzFeed News. “We really weren’t sure everything was going to go together, but then we got here, and it does.”

The fact that they not only managed to find all these things that tied in so seamlessly, but that they also shared enough of the same taste to agree on everything in advance, is simply mind-boggling to me. (Shout out to my freshman college roommate, a very down-to-earth lover of neutral tones who had to put up with my literal Hello Kitty shenanigans for many moons.)

Here's the final result:

And before you think they were just magically ~gifted~ with a dorm that had stellar lighting, here's the before pic for reference.

So how did they manage such a feat? The girls shared with BuzzFeed News that it was a combo of products from stores like T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Pottery Barn, and local furniture and antique stores. A few of the items in it were custom-made as well — but as Goodson points out, they will be living there for an entire year, and her little sister will be reusing a lot of it. And when you consider just how many factors in the space, cleanliness, and lighting of your bedroom affect your psyche, it seems like a more than worthy investment.

Besides, they'll pay it off and then some when they open their joint interior design company after graduation. I'm assuming that's where this story is headed, right? Looking forward to hitting up "Goodson and Boseman" four years from now, because judging by the fact that I've lived in my tiny apartment for a year now and still haven't managed to put more than one cliché inspirational quote on my wall, I'mma need their help.
