The Spice Girls Have A Must-See Mini Reunion

Remember the lyrics from a certain 1996 hit called "Wannabe"? The song goes, "If you wanna be my lover / you gotta get with my friends / make it last forever / friendship never ends." Apparently, the Spice Girls really take their own lyrics to heart. Over the weekend, the Spice Girls reunited and posted some epic selfies to prove their friendship is the real deal. Along with one photo, Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) wrote,

On a Friday night all you need is tea, cake, wine and friendship! #girlpower

Talk about a life motto! I'd love to have that quote framed and hung up on my wall. Unfortunately, only three of the five spices attended, but it still looked epic. Baby Spice, Scary Spice (Mel B.), and Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) were all there. Even though Sporty Spice (Melanie C) and Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham) didn't make it, I doubt that means there's any bad blood. They probably were just busy. And three-fifths of the Spice Girls is better than no Spice Girls.

To be honest, my inner '90s kid is thrilled to see these ladies together years later. After all, "Wannabe" came out 20 years ago — that's a long time. I'm still waiting (not so patiently) for them to have a real reunion and make more music, but in the meantime, this will do. Here's a recap of what goes down during a SG reunion.

Cake & Wine

These are the ultimate girls' night snacks.

Kitchen Disco

I'm unclear about what exactly "kitchen disco" is, but I dig it. Sounds like a blast.

Bananas

When doing a photoshoot, why not grab anything nearby that you can to use as props? The banana is a nice touch.

While these little videos are bound to make any fans' day, I'd love to see a full-fledged reunion ASAP. I'm taking this as a sign that this isn't the end of the Spice Girls just yet.

So if you need me, I'll be listening to the song above and rooting for their comeback.
