The 'Scream Queens' Season 2 First Look Is Here

by Emily Lackey

Hang on to your hospital beds, Scream Queens fans, because even though we’ve known for a while that Season 2 would take place in a hospital, no one was really quite sure why. (I mean, aside from the fact that it’s a show from the brilliant mind of Ryan Murphy, and we know how he likes to mix things up when it comes to locations. But besides that, there were a number of questions about why these sorority sisters would find themselves in a hospital of all places during Season 2. Well all is revealed — finally! — in the first look for Season 2 of Scream Queens , including why the Chanels are in a hospital in the first place and a number of other terrifying twists. So brace yourselves: This peek into the new season is very revealing.

First of all, let’s discuss the biggest news that this Season 2 first look reveals, and that is why they are in a hospital in the first place. Here’s the gist of the new season: The Chanels get asked to enroll as medical students by Dean Munsch and to work in her hospital as… interns, I guess? Honestly, I can’t think of anything more terrifying than the Chanels taking care of my medical well being. Like, I'd probably prefer the creepy doctor from Season 2 of American Horror Story over them, because at least he had a medical degree.

But don’t worry, the sneak peek reveals a lot more interesting twists, too.

Like, the fact that Taylor Lautner and John Stamos as doctors who work alongside the Chanels in the hospital. As much as I would hate to have the Chanels taking care of me in any way physically, I would love it in equal parts to have these two men tending to my… needs. Break out your stethoscopes, friends, because this season is promising lots of steamy moments from this hospital. Including one scene that looks like Chanel and John Stamos’ character go out on a date. A very handsy date, from the looks of it.

But steamy isn’t the only vibe coming from these revealing scenes from the new season. Scary is a more accurate word for it, and the setting has a lot to do with that. The new season looks so much more terrifying because it takes place in a hospital. The hallways are darker, the scenes are spookier, and the scares are so much more terrifying.

So get ready to scream your hearts out. The new season premieres on September 20.
