Rob Kardashian's New Instagram Pic Is Heartwarming

by Kaitlin Reilly

One of the most famous soon-to-be parents in Hollywood right now is, unsurprisingly, a member of the Kardashian clan. Recently returned Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast member Rob Kardashian is expecting a child with fiancée Blac Chyna, and it's a very big deal for a few reasons. The first is that the Chyna/Kardashian baby will add a very interesting branch to the family tree, as rapper Tyga, the father of Chyna's son, King Cairo Stevenson, is currently dating Kardashian's youngest half-sister, Kylie Jenner. The second is that Kardashian's relationship with Chyna and his impending fatherhood has seemingly revitalized the reality star, whom, not too long ago, was reported to be in a not-so-great place physically and emotionally. But Kardashian is clearly excited about his impending fatherhood, and a new photo that Kardashian posted on Instagram of his late father, Robert Kardashian proves just that.

On Friday, Kardashian posted an Instagram of his father with the caption "Can't wait‼️ MISS YOU POPS," seemingly implying that he "can't wait" to be a father to his and Chyna's new baby. Chyna and Kardashian recently told People that they were waiting to learn the gender of their baby until his or her birth. Clearly anticipation is building, as Kardashian's new Instagram post shows he's so excited to be a dad, just like his father was.

The sad part about this Instagram is that Kardashian's father — and the person he was named for — won't be around to see meet his only son's new child. Robert passed away on Sept. 30, 2003 of esophageal cancer at the age of 59, which means that it will be 13 years since his passing at the end of this month. As sad as that fact is, Kardashian doesn't seem to be dwelling on the negative. Though he does "miss" his father, Kardashian's post hints he's looking forward to the future and all of the excitements that new fatherhood will bring.

According to Kardashian's recent interview with People, he doesn't want to go back to his cycle of negativity. "There were definitely dark days for me, and I'm still not fully happy looking at myself in the mirror," Kardashian told the publication. "But I'm working towards that. And I'm happy."

Soon this new dad will have another little Kardashian to keep up with, and it sounds like that will make him happier than ever.
