7 'Game Of Thrones' Halloween Makeup Tutorials

For most Game of Thrones lovers, the franchise isn't just a show or book — it's a way of life. Luckily, Halloween is the one day of the year (well, besides Comic Con) where we all have the chance to embrace our inner dragon tamers and pretend like we, too, hail from the fields of Westeros. While the show is full of incredible clothing ripe for Halloween costume inspiration, if you really want to become your favorite GoT hero or villain it's actually all about the makeup — just ask the faceless men. Luckily, there are a lot of easy Halloween Game of Thones makeup tutorials to follow online!

Westeros is filled with all kinds of creatures, from gorgeous queens to horrifying beasts, and you can easily turn yourself into any one of them with as little as a palette of pressed powder and creatively shaped tin foil.

Since season seven won't start until some time next year — filming isn't even scheduled to wrap until February 2017 — we all need a little something to keep our GoT fandom alive. Here are seven easy (OK, some are easier than others) makeup tutorials for you to to try this Halloween. You have over a month to practice, so if you're looking to go as a White Walker or one of Khaleesi's dragons, you better start now!

1. Daenerys/Khaleesi

What better way to look equally gorgeous and fierce this Halloween than as dragon mother Khaleesi? Accessorize with a blonde wig and as many plastic dragons as you can carry.

2. Sansa Stark

Spend the night as a fiery redhead and embrace your inner Sansa Stark. Opt for a Stark-inspired oversized faux-fur stole to keep you feeling warm while looking chic.

3. Khaleesi's Dragon

If going as the mother of the dragons isn't quite cutting it for you and you want to do something a little more... terrifying, try going as an actual dragon instead. This look, which requires tin foil, paper plates and electrical tape is a surefire way to win any costume contest you enter this year.

4. White Walker

Whatever you do do NOT answer the door for trick-or-treaters in this look. You will have some angry phone calls from their parents after they've run home crying.

5. A Direwolf

Show your love for House Stark by doing yourself up as a Direwolf. Face covered in blood, optional.

6. Khal Drogo

This amazing tutorial helps transform the male character of Khal Drogo into a female using makeup. In my opinion, there is really nothing more badass than a woman warrior.

7. Melisandre

This simple, medieval inspired hair and makeup, combined with an easy red cape, will help you look just like the mistress of the lord of light. Besides, what better excuse is there to rock a red wig for a night?
