Miley Has Her Own Rolling Papers, Surprised?

Miley Cyrus is a few different things — singer, actress, twerker, high-cut panties enthusiast — but master of subtlety she is not. Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne posted a picture on Instagram of Miley Cyrus rolling a joint because why not get photographed doing illegal activities and post them for millions of people to see? Cyrus is currently collaborating with Coyne who captioned the picture, "Yup...... Recordin with Miley... High as fuck....#flaminglips #theflaminglips #tulsa #lovemoneyparty." The only reason for Cyrus to not pose for photos like this would be because of the influence it could have on young fans, but she's obviously been over that for a while. Still, something about it rubs me the wrong way and I can't quite figure it out.

From Cyrus' perspective, it's not like she's going to get in trouble for smoking marijuana, it's not like she's going to get drug-tested for the Bangerz tour, and she sure isn't going to need incriminating information like this hidden for any pending job applications. When you're Miley Cyrus, you smoke weed when you want and don't give an eff about it being all over the internet.

Also, you use your own rolling papers called "Miley Cyrus Bangerz" because apparently customized rolling papers are a thing. Planning a stoner wedding? These would make great party favors! In a couple years if things are no longer working out with her music career, I'm sure "Miley Cyrus Bangerz" would make a profit at any convenience store.

I know Cyrus can do whatever the hell she wants, but should she? Could the issue here be one of disrespect? It's not that she shouldn't smoke pot, but that perhaps she should be less open about it. It's almost like she's shoving in everyone's face the fact that she lives without the rules most people have to follow. I never really understood the term "humble brag" — why shouldn't people talk about their lives even if they're more fabulous than the average person's, it's their life and their reality — this Miley Cyrus photo, and other celebrity drug pictures, seem different.

Or maybe that's too extreme and I'm just over-saturated with Miley Cyrus. Smoking a joint with Bangerz papers seems a lot more like a punch in the face after you've heard a million things that are obviously meant to shock and offend and seen a million pictures like this:

I've figured it out. I have Miley fatigue. I wonder if she knows how I can get a prescription for that.
