Courtney Love Investigates Flight 370 Mystery

by Rachel Semigran

As more information about the dissapearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 unfolds, the more perplexing the case seems to become. The latest report is that the last words on board were, "All right, good night" by the flight's co-pilot. It also appears the pilot or pilots could have been involved in a possible hijacking and political motivations have been speculated. And as international search teams look for the missing flight, it seems as though Courtney Love has joined the hunt for the missing plane. The singer posted a photo earlier today of a satellite image over the Indian Ocean in which there appears to be oil slicks and a large submerged object.

Love found the point via the site Tomnod which is an open-source search engine of satellite images. The website currently has search tools and items to look for including oil slicks, wreckage, and rafts in order to help locate Flight 370. Love posted the image on her Facebook page with the caption, " I'm no expert but up close this does look like a plane and an oil slick… prayers go out to the families #MH370 and its like a mile away Pulau Perak, where they 'last' tracked it 5°39'08.5"N 98°50'38.0"E but what do I know?"

It may be grasping at straws a bit to believe that Love may have helped locate the missing plane — but in such desperate times, it is at least a little heartening to know that almost everyone is looking.
