Celebs Interviewing Each Other With Great Results

by Michelle McGahan

Celebrity interviews are always fun to watch — looking at you, Carpool Karaoke With James Corden — but what's even better is when celebrities interview other celebs. Sure, talk show hosts like Corden are stars in their own right, but there's something a little extra special, more insightful, and — nine times outta 10 — way more hilarious, when non-talk show host celebs step into the role of reporter and ask their co-stars, fellow bandmates, or famous friends about their lives, their experiences, and, of course, whatever project they're promoting. The conversation flows smoothly, the inside jokes are legit, and the star wattage is so bright you just gotta wear shades. All in all, it is entertaining AF.

That being said, sometimes celebrity interviews conducted by fellow A-listers don't always go so well (while the Lena Dunham/Amy Schumer conversation was a great idea in theory, it wound up being a serious mess in execution). Which just makes it all the better when the stars just get it right, feeling so at ease and comfortable enough with one another to give fans the best insight into their relationships and projects as possible.

Check out some of the best celeb-on-celeb interviews below.

1. Elizabeth Banks & Jennifer Lawrence & Josh Hutcherson

The Hunger Games stars are each hilarious in their own right, so put them all together, talking about the film they made, and it's not hard to see the charisma just emanating from the screen. (The fact that they all go from talking about microwaved Korean food to singing Hanson is just an added bonus, really.)

2. Amy Poehler & Tina Fey

Why yes, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler interviewing each other is exactly as incredible as you'd picture Tina Fey and Amy Poehler interviewing each other to be. It is literally like watching them on SNL or in any of their movies together, only less scripted and more off-the-cuff. Ah, to be a fly on the wall in this friendship...

3. Kevin Hart & Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Was there really any question that Kevin Hart and The Rock interviewing each other would be anything less than amazing? Somehow these guys can make the notion of eating "buffalo" for breakfast (and dinner) hilarious.

4. Seth MacFarlane & Tom Cruise

OK, so this isn't really as much of a formal interview between the two as so much as it is just one of my favorite YouTube videos, but MacFarlane and Cruise talking to each other about which impressions they can do — and then doing them — never fails to crack me the eff up.

5. Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds

I'll be honest: These Moviefone Unscripted videos are absolute gold. Sandra Bullock talking about her "naked hug" with Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal is enough to win her another Academy Award — watch it here.

6. James & Dave Franco

BROTHERS INTERVIEWING BROTHERS. Does it get any better than this???

7. Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth

All the fetus feels right here. If this interview doesn't give you insight into the pair's relationship — especially at the beginning — I don't know what will. They are super sweet, super giggly, and super flirtatious throughout the whole thing and I am here for it.

8. Emilia Clarke & Sam Claflin

Fact: Watching the Me Before You co-stars interview each other will make you ship them even more.

9. 5 Seconds of Summer

Admittedly, this is probably the kind of thing that isn't actually funny to anyone else but 5SOS fans, but it makes me laugh every time.

10. Gwen Close & Michael Douglas

The Fatal Attraction co-stars reunited to go even more in depth about their classic sexy thriller. There's nothing like two co-stars interviewing each other to get the real inside look on the making of a movie.

11. Shia LaBeouf & Megan Fox

Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox practice kissing in this interview, so there's that.

12. Mila Kunis & Justin Timberlake

Want to hear Mila Kunis discuss Justin Timberlake's "tushie" with him sitting right there? Then you've come to the right place.

13. Jessica Chastain & Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth's reaction to Jessica Chastain's first impression of him wins all of the awards.

14. Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson & Stephenie Meyer

Robsten was alive and real, and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer was there to witness it all.

15. And Finally, The Cast Of Friends Interviewing Each Other

The old-school quality of this video — it was filmed during the run of Friends, while all of the actors were goofing around on set, in case you didn't realize — just makes it all the more nostalgic.

In case these stars ever want to quit their day jobs, they'd certainly be pretty quality celebrity interviewers.
