CBS' JonBenét Docuseries Has A Unique Draw

The murder of JonBenét Ramsey shocked America — how could something so terrible happen to an innocent 6-year-old girl? Almost 20 years later, Ramsey’s murder remains unsolved, and people still want to know what happened to her that Christmas in 1996. There are a slew of new documentaries and series on the case, and if you missed the first installment of the latest, you'll need to know whether The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey will be on Hulu, or if there's another way to catch the CBS docuseries after it's aired.

As reported by Variety, The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey now consists of two parts. The first half premiered on Sunday, Sept. 18 and the second will air on Monday, Sept. 19. If you’ve cut the cord and stream all of your television, watching the docuseries will be a little bit harder than making a bowl of popcorn and flicking on the television. There's no word yet on whether or not The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey will be available on Hulu at some point, but since the first half is still not available and television episodes usually begin streaming on the service the day after they air, it's not likely. Additionally, not many CBS series are available on Hulu, so it's not a probable contender to stream The Case Of. But don't fret — there are other ways to watch it.

Live-streaming is available for most of the United States with CBS All Access, which you can subscribe to for $5.99 per month with the limited commercial plan, or $9.99 per month for commercial-free. You can also sign up for a one-week free trial if you want to try it out first. If the live-streaming doesn't work for you (it’s not available everywhere yet) or you have plans on Monday night, you can watch The Case Of the day after each part airs on the CBS All Access app (which is available on many devices), like you can all of CBS’ programming. So for now, that's your best option.

It seems like everyone is jumping on the JonBenét Ramsey bandwagon these days — Dr. Phil had a series of interviews with Burke Ramsey, JonBenet’s older brother; ID recently aired JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery; and A&E aired The Killing Of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered on Labor Day. The most interesting part of CBS’ The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey, though, is that the team behind the show actually built full-scale replicas of the most important rooms in the Ramsey house as pertaining to the murder investigation.

According to Vanity Fair, “as investigators re-examined the evidence, they found themselves drawing different conclusions about what might have happened.” Say what you will about the recent surplus of TV specials about Ramsey, but no other took the time to recreate the rooms where the crime happened. It’s an interesting draw to a mystery that’s been 20 years in the making. Will the The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey solve the murder once and for all? Probably not, but it could shed some light on the case and point to a new lead.
