How To Give Yourself A Mini Facial Like A Model

New York Fashion week has officially come to a close, and the verdict is in: This season, when it comes to beauty, less is more. The models at Lacoste skipped out on foundation for a more streamlined look, and at Lela Rose they wore a simple, clean palette of dewy neutrals that functioned as a sort of "no makeup-makeup." Even for models, though, getting the fresh faced look doesn't come totally naturally — there is a certain level of prep required to make their skin runway-ready. (See! They aren't perfect!) Wondering how to give yourself mini facial, just like the models, in the comfort of your own home?

According to Luis Casco, the celebrity makeup artist behind the beauty looks at Lela Rose SS17, all you need to get a model-esque glow are clean skin and some great hydrating and moisturizing products. His backstage regimen for the girls at Lela Rose required only three steps, and can be easily repeated while you catch up on Bachelor in Paradise.

"I wanted the model's skin to have a hydrated and fresh look, so we gave them all a mini facial," Casco tells me. "We started from the neck up on clean skin. The serum has great long-term benefits, but instantly adds a gorgeous glow to the skin. [Mary Kay's] Intense Moisturizing Cream adds radiance to the skin, and with models coming in from other shows and having makeup on/off through different shows it is extremely important to hydrate the skin."

While the rest of us probably aren't doing mini-facials after a day full of fashion show makeup changes, we can all certainly benefit from treating our skin to a deep clean and some extra hydration every once and a while.

Here are the products Casco suggests trying out at home. Sadly, the backstage glam squad is not included, but the process is super easy to follow.
