Much like the TV shows it honors, the 2016 Emmy Awards promises to make audiences feel plenty of ~emotions~. There might be a tear or two shed during an acceptance speech, and there will definitely be plenty of banter before the awards from TV's biggest night are handed out to the winners. You'll want to keep up with the best 2016 Emmys jokes from Sunday night, because you don't want to be left out on Monday morning when everyone's talking about that sketch host Jimmy Kimmel put together or that newcomer's incredible acceptance speech, do you? I didn't think so.

As everyone knows, the host tends to set the tone for the evening and Kimmel is already a proven Emmy master of ceremonies — he previously hosted the show in 2012. But this year, he told People and Entertainment Weekly that his jokes will have a different tone — and it's nothing like his approach on his ABC late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! "The people with whom I’m actually friendly are in the most danger usually because I know they can take a joke," Kimmel told the publications. "That works against them. Being a good sport is the worst thing you can be."

And according to his Twitter, Kimmel got some adorable last-minute help with his jokes. Aww.

Jeb Bush made a cameo in Kimmel's Emmys opening sketch, making fun of his failed presidential bid.

"Mark Burnett, the man who brought us Celebrity Apprentice. We don't have to watch reality shows anymore, because we're living in one."
