Let the blame game begin when it comes to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce. Problems within their marriage had to be because of another woman having an affair with Pitt or because another woman supposedly flirted with him, right? That is the only logical explanation. I mean, why else do people get divorced? Sarcasm aside, rumors are now swirling that Selena Gomez is connected to Brangelina's breakup. What? Why? Let me catch you up and explain how Gomez is being linked to Pitt and Jolie's divorce.
According to the tabloid The National Enquirer (via DailyMail.com), Jolie was allegedly furious when she saw the Instagram Gomez shared of herself and Pitt, who she co-starred with in The Big Short, at a Golden Globes after-party in January. Gomez captioned the IG, "Just discussing #TheBigShort."
"Angie blew a gasket when she saw Selena’s Instagram, and heard through friends about how Brad and Selena flirted so shamelessly," the source claimed. "Now Selena is bragging to everyone that Brad is gung ho to make another movie with her. Selena is going around jokingly calling Brad 'my future husband,' and Angie is obviously none too pleased." Supposedly, Jolie also told Pitt that he wasn't ever allowed to work with Gomez ever again.
Bustle has reached out to reps for Jolie, Pitt, and Gomez regarding the report, but has not yet received any responses.
None of this means that Gomez is responsible for Brangelina's breakup or that this is how Jolie feels. It is pure speculation, which is something the 24-year-old singer knows about all too well. Remember when she was caught in the middle Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom? Both she and Perry laughed off all the rumors, which I can only imagine is how Gomez will handle her "involvement" in the Pitt and Jolie divorce.
