Adam & Behati Gave Their Daughter A Colorful Name

by Michelle McGahan

Congratulations are in order for Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, who welcomed baby crayon (um, baby girl) Dusty Rose into the world on Wednesday, Sept. 21, his rep confirmed to People. The Voice mentor and Victoria's Secret Angel must really have a thing for color — or maybe the Maroon 5 frontman is just really into various shades of reds and pinks — because I'm pretty sure they just named their daughter after a Crayola hue. The super legit "List of Crayola paint colors" Wikipedia page and CrayonCollecting.com back me up here: Dusty Rose is an ~official~ Crayola color.

Interestingly enough, it looks like Levine's fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani may have helped out with the baby name process. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in May, Stefani revealed that Levine would repeatedly bounce baby names off of her via text. And considering Stefani's three kids all have unique names, maybe she actually had some influence.

"Adam keeps texting me, 'What about this name? What about this name?'" she said at the time. "And then just all that kind of stuff. It's just really fun. It's fun because I've had so many kids. I'll be like, 'And then this happens. And then this happens. And then wait, this is what's going to happen.' It's fun."

All crayon-themed jokes aside, it seems like Levine and Prinsloo couldn't be happier to now be a family of three. The couple, who wed in 2014, have kept fans updated throughout the model's entire pregnancy: The two frequently Instagrammed pictures of Prinsloo's baby bump, including one shot with Levine's matching stomach (see above).

As the two settle into their new roles as Mom and Dad, it looks like baby Dusty Rose won't be the last child for the couple — Levine told Ryan Seacrest in 2014 that he wants "100 kids."

"I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible," he joked.

Hey, even just having 63 more — preferably all named after the rest of the Crayola rainbow — will be enough to fill the box that comes with sharpener in the back.
