Where To Buy The Atlantic-Pacific & Barbour Collab

by Rachel Nussbaum

Atlantic-Pacific, emphasis on the Atlantic. Blair Eadie's new collaboration with Barbour has me eager for the brisk days of later fall — with pieces inspired by Scottish outerwear classics, the Timeless Originals collection, exclusive to Bloomingdales, brings Eadie's classic-quirky style to clothes that work as well in muddy fields as cobbled streets (the only two locations I frequent). Or, not. But I'd like to believe, and this collab makes it easy.

Eadie knows what she's doing after over six years in the personal style game, reliably creating looks that mix preppy style with offbeat details. The pairing makes perfect sense for Barbour's push to modernize the classic brand — the resulting collection is full of storied textiles gone casual (a tartan shirt gets the classic Eadie cuff, while the sharp shoulders on the Barbour Border Quilted Jacket takes it more SoHo than grandfather).

Idealized in Atlantic-Pacific's "I'd like to live in that New York" style, the collection is pared down but detail-conscious, working just as well with jeans and a beanie as stilettos. And while that could just be Eadie's knack for styling talking, it's a fantasy I'll buy into. With Barbour's history of quality basics and ultra-long-lasting work, the collab could also breathe new life into fast fashion wardrobes (poly blend, meet fabrics that will last).

And with winter coming, this range is a lifeline to warmer pastures. The collection was made for those transitional months between fall morning fog and all out chilly, but the beauty of layers (another Atlantic-Pacific talent) means it can work year round.

Joining fellow face of the brand Sam Heughan in quilted coats, outerwear has never looked so good. There can only be one Highlander? Not anymore.
