Will Kim Kardashian Return To 'KUWTK'?

by Kaitlin Reilly

It looks like the future of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is up in the air following the horrific events surrounding Kim Kardashian in Paris Monday. According to Us Weekly, Keeping Up With The Kardashians production is "on hold indefinitely" following Kardashian being robbed at gunpoint at the Hôtel de Pourtalès early Monday morning. (Bustle has reached out to both E! and Kardashian's rep, but has received no response.) Update: On Thursday afternoon, an E! spokesperson released the following statement to Bustle:

Kim's well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when production will resume.

Earlier: While Kardashian taking some time to recover from the horrific incident is completely understandable, it's yet not clear what "on hold" means — or whether Kardashian will ever return to KUWTK even if the show does return at some point. Has Kardashian moved on from the reality show, given the difficult circumstances?

As previously reported, Kardashian was held up at gunpoint in Paris early Monday. A source for E! News is now reporting that Kardashian is allegedly "emotionally damaged" after her scary situation in Paris, so it makes sense that the media mogul is taking some time for herself. However, it's not yet clear if Kardashian will be returning to the series if the show does return to the air eventually. However, according to Us Weekly, we won't see the aftermath of Kardashian's robbery on the series should it resume — the series was not filming at the time around the robbery, and family members did not film any reactions to the incident. Kardashian has now returned home to Los Angeles, and reportedly plans to be near family, where she "feels safe."

While it's unclear whether Kardashian will choose to return to the series, even if her family does decide to start the show up again, what is clear is that the reality star needs at least some time to heal from the trauma that she suffered during the encounter. She needs to decide what's best for her — even if that does mean never returning to the series.
