Hillary Gets Guilt-Tripped About 2016

by Andrea Garcia-Vargas

On Saturday, at a student conference at Arizona State University, Hillary Clinton was grilled on the big question: Will she run for president in 2016? Oh, and it came with a side of guilt-tripping: One student from University of California at Berkeley, Vrinda Agrawal, asked Hillary: "If you don't represent women in politics in America as future president, who will?"

The audience cheered at Agrawal's question, while Clinton smiled and laughed. Jimmy Kimmel, who was moderating the discussion onstage with Bill and Chelsea Clinton, then asked the former Secretary of State: "If you do run for president, will you reuse the old Clinton campaign lawn signs?"

Finally, Clinton responded to Agrawal.

You have certainly done your education proud. That was very well asked and very well presented. I appreciate the sentiment. I am very much concerned about the direction of our country and it's not just who runs for office but what they do when they get there and how we bring people together and particularly empower young people so we can tackle some of these hard decisions we've just been talking about.

At this point, Kimmel interjected with, "She wants an answer!" — he ain't wrong — and the crowd cheered again.

At this point, Clinton said, "Give me your name and number." Agrawal responded, "I will proudly run your campaign."

You can watch the whole thing here.

As expected, Clinton didn't directly answer the question about a possible presidential candiacy. She's said before that she hasn't decided yet, although there are at least two super PACs fundraising for her in the meantime.

"I'm obviously thinking about all kinds of decisions," Hillary said Saturday — before Kimmel popped in another joke, this time about whether she and Bill would have another child.

The Clinton Global Initiative University, which hosted the student conference Saturday, is based on the Clinton Global Initiative and aims to attract young leaders on college campuses across the world. On the weekend, it had its annual conference to discuss everything from public health to poverty.

With public curiosity is running at an all-time high over whether or not Clinton will run, it was only expected that Clinton would be grilled about her potential presidency. Or not. But yes please, Hillary!
