Emma Stone Confirms She & Andrew Garfield Are Over

If you were hoping that #StoneField was very much back together, then I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As Vogue's November cover star, Emma Stone confirmed she is single. That's right, her October 2015 split from Andrew Garfield after four years together is a done deal. It was unclear if they were truly broken up for good, because neither of them have ever confirmed or denied it, which was evidently on purpose. As Stone strongly hinted during her interview, she prefers to keep her personal live private. She even said to the journalist, sarcastically, "I’m really glad you’re sitting down so I can tell you."

It's always sad when a beloved celeb couple goes their separate ways, which was definitely the case with Stone and Garfield. However, the La La Land star did have some sweet words to say about her former partner. When referring to the Spider-Man actor, Stone said he is "someone I still love very much."

#StoneField shippers, are you OK? Did her words make you feel things? Seeing as she is extremely private about him, it's kind of surprising she said that much, but her words should make their supporters feel somewhat better about their split. Clearly, she still very much cares about Garfield, despite being apart. You know what that also means? They seemed to end on good terms, which is great.

As upsetting as it probably is to hear Stone say she is single, it has to give fans some kind of relief. There's been so much speculation about whether or not Garfield and Stone were possibly still together. Even in August the two were spotted in London hanging out, which fueled even more rumors.

To know that they aren't together should give shippers peace of mind. Now, they don't have to lose sleep over not knowing the truth. Yeah, I'm sure some will continue to be restless after learning Stone and Garfield are done, but at least we now have an answer — even though it's not the one we really wanted.
