Kylie Jenner is a rumor machine. From gossip that she has gotten breast implants or butt implants to other whisperings that she could be pregnant, there's a lot to wade through, and she's doing it on her app. Jenner addresses the ColourPop and Kylie Cosmetics comparisons on her website on Friday, and she finally put those rumors — and many others — to rest.
In a post to her website, Jenner sat down with friend Anastasia Karanikolaou to discuss all of the unfounded rumors circling both her and her mega-popular Kylie Cosmetics brand. Jenner definitely didn't shy away from some of the bigger questions that have come her way, and she spoke extensively about whether or not she would (or has had) major cosmetics surgery.
After extensive discussion on surgeries and rivalries with her sisters, Jenner finally confronted those Kylie Cosmetics and ColourPop rumors. Jenner flat-out explained that ColourPop and Kylie Cosmetics are not the same company. She told Karanikolaou, "I have an exclusive formula that I created myself...We have the same manufacturer along with so many other brands."
Jenner has officially cleared up the rumors, and she's got some backup. In a Facebook live interview and tour of ColourPop, the brand's marketing managers Jordynn Wynn and Sharon Pak explained the same to Bustle.
Rumors have long swirled that the brands were the same after bloggers discovered similarities in their formulas. Now, however, it's clear why that is. Seed Beauty, owned by ColourPop owners Laura and John Nelson, is the parent company of both ColourPop and Kylie Cosmetics.
