Kim Kardashian's Hotel Concierge Speaks Out

by Caitlyn Callegari

Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery has brought about many questions and an endless amount of speculation. Inquiries such as, "How could this happen?" and "Where were her bodyguards?" While some of those questions have been answered, others have been left up to the public's imagination. And now, Kardashian's Paris hotel concierge has spoken out and made some troubling claims about the hotel's security.

The concierge, who decided to only give his first name, Abdulrahman, alleged to the Daily Mail ,

"There was no real security at all. It’s a choice. The hotel doesn’t mind about security. We told them year and years before, you have to make a camera, you have to put [in place] a security process, about keys. Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there. Everyone knew it."

Bustle reached out to the hotel, Hôtel de Pourtalès aka "No Address Hotel," for comment, but has not yet received a response.

The concierge claimed to the Daily Mail that the extent of the security in place was a lone guard, 6-year-old security codes, and out of commission cameras. And in terms of security for Kardashian’s apartment, he alleged that a wooden door and a “Yale-type lock” were all that separated the celebrity from the rest of the hotel. He claimed to the publication, “There is a camera in the main wall of the hotel, behind the big red [front] doors, but it didn’t work for years.”

The Daily Mail also reports that “police sources" claim that the reason there weren’t any security cameras at the hotel was to maintain the privacy of its rich and famous inhabitants and whomever they brought with them into their apartments. The site notes “discretion” as being the main draw of staying there.

After hearing Abdulrahman's allegations the Daily Mail claims they used the security codes the concierge told them about “a full two weeks” after the robbery and allegedly got into the hotel without any trouble.
