How To Wear A Corset Belt Like Kylie Jenner

The Kardashians have made a habit of turning their underwear into outerwear, and Kylie Jenner has officially taken things to a whole new level by wearing one as a belt. On Monday, Kylie Jenner instagrammed a photo of herself wearing an oversized t-shirt, thigh high boots, and a corset belt, leaving me wondering how to rock a corset belt like a Jenner or Kardashian.

Kylie isn't the first of the Kardashian/Jenners to try out the corset belt trend: Kim has been known to wear hers all around the world, and Kourtney's embraced the cinch once or twice, too.

Let it be said: The whole waist training thing is totally ridiculous. Trying to change the shape of your body with a tool is bananas, not to mention, extremely dangerous and not something that I would ever recommend trying at home. Corset belts as an accessory, though? Now that's something I can actually, surprisingly, get behind.

Here are seven Kardashian-approved ways to wear a corset belt over your clothes... but only for the sake of style, not for waist training.

1. Skip The Pants

Who needs bottoms when you have your trusty corset belt to complete your outfit? Take an oversized, extra long T-shirt (I would suggest plain black or white because a pattern may clash wit the statement belt) and cinch at your midsection.

2. Use It As A Bra

Further proof that the Kardashians are the queens of underwear-as-outerwear, Kim proves that as long as you have a corset, you don't need a bra. Use a corset for added support and a little bit of lift for the ladies.

3. Go Minimal

If you're going to make your belt the focal point of your outfit, keep the rest of your pieces minimal, or in this case MINImal.

4. Mix Textures

Pair a wide, embellished belt with silk, like Kylie did, to give your make the outfit more multidimensional.

5. Keep It Monochromatic

Now that she's a Kardashian-West, Kim's looks are mostly neutral, and this corset getup is no exception. Match the belt to whatever you're wearing it over for a chic, monochromatic look.

6. Bling It Out

If you're going to go for it, just go for it. I say: The blingier, the better.

7. Wear It As A Shirt

I mean, if Kris Jenner can pull it off (which she totally can, contrary to what this angry Twitter user thinks), so can you.
