Rachel McAdams Is Up For More 'Mean Girls'

by Michelle Lulic

Raise your hand if you're ready for more Regina George. It may have been 12 years since Mean Girls came out but, just like the rest of us, actress Rachel McAdams can't seem to get enough of the leader of the Plastics. That's why, in an interview with E! News for her upcoming film, Doctor Strange, McAdams weighed in on where Regina George from Mean Girls would be today. Both Lindsay Lohan and Daniel Franzese already on board for the idea of a sequel, so, now that McAdams is making her interest clear as well, maybe this will one day be more than a dream. (Or Mean Girls 2, which I still like to pretend was just a dream.)

"I loved that movie," said McAdams about the classic film. "I love Tina Fey. I love the girls. I mean, to get to kind of have a reunion would be... We got to have a reunion at a photo shoot a couple of years ago and it was over like that and it wasn't enough. I was back in it." As for what would Regina be up to now? The actress has a few ideas of her own: "Regina's probably had a few [kids]. Babies who are plotting your demise in the womb." Mean Moms, anyone? We need to call up Tina Fey, get her off that musical, and onto this moneymaking concept.

However, if we won't get another Mean Girls sequel just yet, there is one more way for McAdams to reprise her role: by starring in the Mean Girls musical. We all know that a staged production of Mean Girls on its way, and casting news has yet to be announced. Since the actress is interested in bringing Regina George back into her life, well... why not let her?

Regardless, more Mean Girls just can't come soon enough. The future is going to be so fetch.
