by Lily Feinn

Whether you are considering a career change or choosing a college major, salary and potential earnings growth are probably important factors in your decision making process. Sales managers and nurses are among the top 13 jobs with the biggest pay raises last year, according to a new report from the job search and company review site, Glassdoor. So if you are currently working in these fields, you may be seeing a little boost to your paycheck.

Siting research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national average for salary increase over the past 12 months was a measly 2.5 percent (I guess that's better than no increase).
