Kim Kardashian Is Resurfacing In The Public Eye

by Daniela Cabrera

Since the terrifying events of Kim Kardashian's robbery in Paris in early October, the star has uncharacteristically stayed away from the limelight — and reasonably so. Since Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered in 2007, there has rarely been a time when any member of the family has laid low (save Rob Kardashian), as being public figures is kind of their thing. While her sisters have given updates on her life post-robbery, Kardashian hasn't been seen much, until now. Kardashian resurfaced at her husband Kanye West's concert in L.A., dressed more inconspicuously than fans are used to. And while she is appearing in public again, she deserves the chance to "re-emerge" at her own pace, regardless of the pressure her fans and the media might be putting on her as a consequence of the lifestyle she's been living these past few years.

In Kardashian's extremely public life, stepping back outside is a very big deal. I cannot imagine all of the discussions and meetings that are happening behind closed doors to decide the best way for her to get "back to normal" in the way that is healthiest for her. The fact that she probably has to come up with an actual plan for how to get back to work must be stressful in itself, so she should be able to do what she can do maintain her sanity and health, above all.

E! News reported that Kardashian was spotted backstage at West's show, seemingly not wanting to make a big fuss, considering she didn't go out the crowd as she has in the past. One major sign that Kardashian was even in attendance was that eyewitnesses told E! there was "a lot of security throughout the venue," which makes sense considering the circumstances. According to E!, she was joined by her mother, Kris Jenner, BFF Jonathan Cheban, sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian, and her mother's boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Her concert outing was just the second known public appearance she's had in the weeks since the robbery, not including the times she was spotted immediately after the robbery when she was traveling back home.

In addition to going to West's concert, on Monday night, Kardashian went out for ice cream with Cheban with a noticeably toned down image, opting for very little (if any) makeup, an oversized sweatshirt, and fuzzy slides, looking more like a college student than her usually glam self. In the wake of her terrifying night in Paris, Kardashian and her family have dealt with unfair accusations of staging the incident and people basking in her tragedy, saying "she deserved it."

In the past few weeks, Kardashian must have gone through an incredible amount of pressure trying to come to terms with what happened to her. Anyone would go through a tough period after an event like this, but her situation is even more wild considering it is literally her job to be as public as possible. Because of this, Kardashian should continue to take her emergence at her own pace and spend as much time focusing on her family and herself as she needs. While she doesn't need to change who she is, she can control when and how much of her life she shares, and that should be respected. At this point, her loyal fans will be there to support her no matter what path she decides to take from here on out.
