Bella Hadid is having a pretty major week. On Wednesday, she announced that she was going to be walking in her first ever (!) Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Before that, on Tuesday night, she debuted a totally new, seriously edgy hairstyle at a Dior event. Bella Hadid's bangs are the latest in a series of notable beauty looks, and she is rocking 'em. (She also happens to be up for a major fashion award... in case you're keeping track of how over-the-top amazing her week really is).
Hadid showed off her new 'do — a short fringe that hits about an inch above her flawlessly groomed brows — with a tousled, middle parted updo and some glittery winged eyeliner. She kept with the edgy theme by wearing a black velvet choker (she is a millennial friend of Kylie Jenner's, after all) and Dior lingerie with a black-spotted, sheer overlay. Later in the night, she slipped into a black leather dress straight off of the brand's Spring/Summer 2017 runway, which was the perfect combination of elegant and cool – just like her hair.
Sadly, Bella's bangs aren't here to stay. She shared images of her pre-event glam routine on Vogue.com, and confessed that the fringe was only temporary, care of clip-in extensions. This isn't the first time a Hadid has tricked us with fake bangs: Older sister Gigi tried out bangs during Paris Fashion Week, but hers were also an set of ultra-convincing clip-ins, not the real deal.
Regardless of the fact that they're only extensions, Bella's bangs are a major beauty #win.
I'm not the only one who thinks Bella should brave the scissors and do this thing for real. Twitter has blown up in reaction to her new look.
