We Sort Of Miss These ‘Housewives’ Friendships

Do you ever find yourself waxing nostalgic about certain Real Housewives friendships? Real Housewives friendships that were strong once upon a time, but have since disintegrated into microscopic Pinot Grigio-soaked pieces of dust? I could be alone here, but I will be darned if I do not kind of miss certain Real Housewives friendships. Even if they were pretty dang messy.

Is it probably for the best that these friend pairings are not the friendships they were once upon a time? I mean, I can’t say that for certain. For one thing, I’ve only seen a slice of their relationships; as much as I wish there was a 24/7 feed of all of the series in the Real Housewives franchise, that’s not the case. I don’t know the full stories, just what I’ve seen on TV and read online. Also? I’m not a relationship expert and I’m not going to pretend otherwise.

But do you know what I am an expert in? Knowing what I enjoy watching on the small screen. And I really loved seeing certain Real Housewives be pals on their respective shows. Here are some of the ex-Real Housewives friendships that I miss in spite of myself.

1. Ramona Singer & Sonja Morgan Of The Real Housewives Of New York City

When these on-again, off-again best friends are on, they are so on. And when they’re off? Oh, it breaks my Bravo logo-shaped heart. I could watch an entire RHONY episode of Ramonja hanging out and watching Netflix together. Or a ep dedicated entirely to Ramonja taking a dance class together. I just love these two, OK? Ramonja forever.

2. Lisa Vanderpump & Brandi Glanville Of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

I know, I know, I know. I can’t believe me either. But here I am, missing the days of PumpVille. I just wish a PUMP olive branch could erase all of the hurt they put each other through so they could get back to being The Real Potty-Mouthed Duo Of Beverly Hills.

3. Kim Zolciak & Kandi Burruss Of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Before a thing that rhymes with “schmah-schmoot” happened, Kim and Kandi were a great team. I mean, if it wasn’t for their friendship, we wouldn’t have the unstoppable hit that is “Tardy For The Party.”

I shudder at the thought.

4. Gamble Breaux & Gina Liano Of The Real Housewives Of Melbourne

I rooted for this friendship because the more glam the better and it really doesn’t get more glamorous than the duo of Gamble and Gina. Call me shallow. I probably deserve it.

Sadly, things between Gina and Gamble didn't seem exactly chill at the Season 3 reunion. Here's hoping these two make amends next season.

5. Sonja Morgan & LuAnn de Lesseps Of The Real Housewives Of New York City

Before The Tom Thing happened, Sonja and LuAnn were the most charming roommates Real Housewives ever did see. I miss those days.

6. Lisa Vanderpump & Lisa Rinna Of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Well, the RHOBH Season 6 reunion sure was brutal for these two, eh? And to think, just earlier that season, the Lisas chartered a plane together for a spectacular mini horse adventure. Unless things have changed drastically since the reunion, it looks like the Lisas Rinna and Vanderpump have put their shenanigan days behind them.

7. Phaedra Parks & Kandi Burruss Of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Will Phaedra and Kandi ever be close again, or was the workout DVD debacle bridge too far?

I suppose we will just have to tune into Season 9 to find out.

8. Vicki Gunvalson & Tamra Judge Of The Real Housewives Of Orange County

And just as I was getting used to them being pals again, a van ride to an airport changed their status once again. Their friendship may be through for real this time, but I will never stop holding out for a reconciliation. May they one day abscond to Andales and whoop their conflict away.

On second thought, may all of these former friends abscond to Andales one day and whoop their conflicts away.
