What Is Mindy Kaling Trying to Tell Us About 'The Mindy Project'?
The Mindy Project comes back to television in a week, and oh, what an agonizing week that will be. Not only will we get the New Girl/Mindy Project crossover we've all been waiting for when Max Greenfield guest stars on the show, but Mindy Kaling has been letting out some pretty sneaky spoilers out about the last eight episodes of this season. She's been letting a few spoilers slip at PaleyFest and tweeting some pretty intriguing stills from the show nearly every week. So since The Mindy Project is being such a tease, we're going to make some wild guesses as to what's going on...
Mindy and Danny
Okay, so this one’s obvious. Mindy and Danny are having a romantic moment and/or talking about their unexpected plane make out from the last episode. Don’t fight it, guys, just go with it.

Peter
Sure, he’s holding up a phone, hence the tagline. But I’m more interested in the sailor hat. Did Peter join the Navy? Is he going as a member of the Village People to the world’s worst costume party? Is he singlehandedly trying to bring back the “nautical” trend?

Mindy and Schmidt
They’re on a date, right? Those are definitely some “on a date” smiles. Sure, Greenfield’s character sounds kind of Schmidt-y, but look at the spark between them! Definitely a date.

Tom and Mindy
Kaling captioned this one “Hader. Sex tape. 9 Days.”…which leaves a lot of lingering questions. Sure, it might just be a costume for some other ridiculous reason, but Mindy looks pretty into Tom…don’t do it, Mindy! Would a sex tape be potentially hilarious? Sure. But is it a good life decision? Probably not.
