Kim K's Return To Social Media Was Short-Lived

by Caitlyn Callegari

Hey there. So, uh, remember when Kim Kardashian returned to social media on Monday night? Yeah, you should probably just pretend like you didn't see any of that. Because, surprise! Her posts are gone. On the other hand, if you didn't catch the posts in time, I should probably fill you in so you know what's going on. On Facebook, Kardashian posted a picture of herself, posing in front of her her phone, and also posted two links from her app — one that had to do with Halloween costumes and the other a video of herself and Kourtney Kardashian as children on Halloween. But since the posts are gone now, I have to wonder why Kardashian's Facebook posts were deleted.

Well, the "why" is something that she did not make immediately clear. I suppose I'll have to return that Facebook-warming gift I got her now. All kidding aside, there must be a legitimate reason for the reality star to make those posts disappear. And given the fact that we don't have a direct answer at the moment, I think a few things could be at play here.

First things first, Kardashian's post was different than her usual social media vibe. While I had previously speculated that she was merely adhering being more low-key since her robbery, maybe that just wasn't working for her. Maybe it was still too much after having gone through, as her sister Khloé Kardashian put it, such a "traumatic" experience.

If that's not the issue, maybe the problem was the picture post itself. People astutely noted that the picture was most likely an old one, due to her 2011 Blackberry Bold, "which she mourned the loss of in August," being included in the photo. While posting an old picture could have been Kardashian's intention, maybe she didn't anticipate that everyone would catch on.

Other theories on what could have happened? It's possible that Kardashian didn't post to Facebook at all. Maybe her assistant or one of her representatives did and the reality star decided to have the posts removed after multiple reports came out assuming she was behind the posts herself. Whatever the case may be, it's clear that Kardashian's posts, whatever the content, still make all of our heads turn.

Bustle has reached out to Kardashian's rep for comment on the deleted posts, but has not yet received a response.
